Phelps is here.....you all already know and now he is 1 month old!!

William Phelps Young IV made his sweet debut on April 20, 2011 at 4:31 p.m. He was 8 lbs 14 oz, 21 1/2 inches long....just perfect! He looks so much like Jane did, but with more hair and not as much cheek! We are in love with him and his big sister loves him even more. If you know or have ever met Jane you would have thought she would have had trouble being "dethroned," but she has actually been acting like even more of a big girl. It is amazing to me how much she has grown up since Phelps arrived.
Phelps is sleeping great, eating all of the time and is one smiley boy. This kid will never get in trouble with the smiles he gives us! We went to the Dr. today for his one month check up. He is 11 lbs 4 oz (90%) and 21 1/2 in. long (40%) still. Short and fat! He is bigger than his sister was at her 1 month check up!
While having two is twice the challenge I am loving every minute. We have jumped right back into our typical routine with play groups, trips to the mall, the store and visits to see Daddy at church! Phelps is just along for the ride and his sister loves showing off her little brother, "Selps," as she now calls him!
Here are some pics since the last time we updated!

Newborn. He had a rough day.

Jane's first time to see her baby brother. Yes, she is sitting in his hospital bed.

Gommy and Jane are so excited about, "Selps!" Yes, she is still in the bed.

Jane and Mommy loving on, "Buddy." One of Jane's nicknames for him. She wakes up every morning asking for her, "Buddy!" It melts my heart.

Caught a little grin.

After his first bath. So clean. His hair only will stay down for a second.

Jane thought this would be appropriate for Easter Sunday! Yes, I did take her to church.

Jane loves to hold Phelps in her, "Rap."

I bought this little Easter outfit for him. He doesn't think it is as cute as I do!

Sweet little carrot.

This is his Daddy's outfit. This was the only time he wore it. We are a little bigger than Daddy was.

We love our Pop Pop.

Diva.

It is impossible to get a picture of them together. This was the best I could do by myself for church last Sunday.

We love our tummy.

Here we are today!

  1. Precious!! I've been waiting for a blog update. I'm so jealous of the early pictures you've gotten of them together. It's so tough but you've gotten some great ones! Sounds like you are adjusting to life with two seemlessly - not surprised. Chat soon.
