Visiting Santa

On Sunday we took Jane to visit Santa and then went and got our tree. You will see from the video she was all ready to see Santa but when push came to shove and it was time for the picture she wasn't having any of it. I did a short before clip then the picture and the after. Jane loved Santa but just didn't want to sit on his lap as you will see from the goodbye waves and kisses she blew him as we left.
We picked such a cold night to get a tree we weren't prepared and didn't bring anything warm enough so we didn't get a picture at the tree farm.

I did throw Jane in a sleigh they had at the tree farm and attempt a shot but it was too cold. She couldn't even smile.

I am trying to teach Jane to smile because it is so hard to get a picture of her these days. I said. "Show me your teeth" and this is what I got.

I then demonstrated a smile and this was our next attempt. Everything is a working progress.

  1. 'Tis the age for fearing Santa! Will's commentary and laughs made me laugh outloud - so cute! It's so nice to have the videos... they really help capture the moment. Love the practice smiles too. So funny!

  3. Oh my gosh, those smiling pictures are hilarious! We had our visit with Santa today...it was...interesting. You know the silent sob that precedes a full-blown wail? Yep, that's my Molly! And I'm so glad to see that another mother wasn't prepared for the cold. I never have the right gear for the weather - my kid is always the one with the bare head and red, runny nose! Ha!
